We don’t know about you, but this past year has been a doozy for us all in 2020 and we think to ourselves, hey, what better way to really dive into 2021 than with a serious “pick me up” or “fresh trendy hairstyle”?
While we all have been guilty of putting on those athletic leggings everyday that we love so much or throwing our hair up into a “quick-do” to “hide the grays”, springtime will only bring lighter summer days and hey, self care is important too! We don’t know about you, but I sure know I deserve it.
Low and behold, we have summed up the TOP celebrity stylist picks for trending hairstyles in 2021 and also paired in a few 2021 new color trends that have hit the runway. Get ready, keep scrolling!
TREND: Block Color, Baby.
2021 has said to be the year of “being BOLD”. And, It’s no wonder, celebrities are really pulling out all the tricks, as quarantine has got us all well, a little timid.
According to the “Bold Block” trend this hairstyle screams - importance. With color blocks and contrasts taking presence at many fashion shows for 2021 spring and summer looks, clients have now been asking for larger sections of color in the hair. From bold pastel hues that frame the face, to platinum pieces placed in single streaks to the dark color on lower layers and lightness on upper - this 2021 season will sure to see some playful trendy placements of blocked color.
2. TREND: 2021 “CINNAMON” HAIR COLOR
While the red hues have always been a significant hit in the spring and summer time, this year the color that has been on everyone’s “wish list” is called, “cinnamon”.
Celebrities that have been taking this trend to new heights such as Sarah Hyland, Kylie Jenner, and Gigi Hadid. These celebs have also been incredibly keen to the fashion scene and have been debuting copper and cinnamon tones, quite recently.

Bangs have really been around for awhile. And, while they set no clear distinguishable “trend”, we will be the first to tell you the latest bang crave has all ben centered around something called “curtain bangs” or “curtain fringe”
Who would not want to step into the “trends” with something more subtle such as the “curtain fringe”? We personally think this trend is chic, classic, and can flatter some of our clients best features.
Our top hair stylist tip? Make sure you always have the proper thermal protectant and straighten your new fringe pieces with the proper ceramic tool to ensure that same “fringe” appeal prior to blowdrying.
4. TREND: 90s Inspired Up-Do’s
With 2021 being a new year for opportunities, many of us in 2020 were hit with the “quarantine daze” and in terms of “self care” we hurried to pull our hair in somewhat easy, and quick up-do styling looks. Queue in 2021, and the trend has really taken that messy up-do to new heights, with a intricate spin on the 90’s eras!
This particular trend has seen a comeback and many of our customers have been raving for our master stylists to recreate trend for special occasions, date nights, or night outs with the girls.
This trend focuses primarily on “effortless” appearance, strands easily pulled out in the front and versatility or a pinned up look in the back. Either way, we think this look is sophisticated, stylish, and sure to turn heads this summer!

Next on our list for top trending hairstyles this 2021 spring and summer, is a tried and true favorite with a bit of a twist called the “the pixie”. With the emergence of optimistic summer rays and outdoor events, nothing beats a cool and classic hair do like the chic and classic, “pixie cut”.
If you really want to take this trend up a notch, customers are also adding even chicer bangs to the mix. Talk about a 2-in-1 trend setter!
